Australian Medical Graduates

If you are an Australian Trained Medical Graduate, General Practice Network NT (GPNNT) would love to hear from you.

Please contact the office to speak with a Workforce Program Officer to find out more about the Northern Territory's current GP Vacancies and how we can assist you through the recruitment process. See GPNNT contact details below or send us an enquiry from our Contact Us page.

Please note: All doctors wishing to work in the NT will now be required to provide a criminal history check for every country that they have studied or worked in for the last 10 years.

If you completed your Australian medical degree in 1996 or later, you may be subjected to provider number restrictions. However, you may still be eligible for employment as a GP in the Territory through the Rural Locum Relief Progrm. Please follow the link to the RLRP Application form to find out more, alternatively follow the link to the current Locum Vacancies page.

Many current and previous GPs have found that the best way to get a taste of the Territory is to try a locum with us first. GPNNT coordinates a highly regarded locum program that supports our dedicated rural and remote GPs whilst providing an opportunity for new GPs to experience Indigenous or rural health in a supportive environment. For more information about our NT GP Locum Program, please follow the link provided.
