What personal information do we keep?

Personal information collected by GPPHCNT is generated through documents such as forms, resumes, submissions, interviews and business documents. This information may include details such as name, age, date of birth, occupation, contact details and other information which is necessary in order to conduct our business.

How is personal information used?

Personal information will only be used for the purposes stated at the time of collection. GPNNT collects information to carry out its daily business, and relies on accurate information to improve program delivery and development. This includes the recruitment and retention of General Practitioners, sharing information with employers and employment bodies for the purposes of recruitment, workforce planning, advocacy and policy development.

When using our website the following information may be recorded for session management only.

Your top level domain name (com/ .gov/ .org etc)
Persistent and session cookies may be used on our website. Persistent cookies record storage data of your actions whilst using the site, (filling a form etc), and session cookies retain logon information. When you close your browser session cookies are deleted while persistent cookies remain on your computer.

Email

When you email us we will record your email address and only use it for the purposes you have provided it for. It will not be added to a mailing list or disclosed without your consent unless you have directed us to do so. We will not use your email address for any other purpose.

When subscribing to receive online publications you will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe when you choose.

Third parties and your personal information

GPNNT will only disclose personal information to a third party if your consent has been provided. Where appropriate this information will be de-identified. Instances where we may be required to provide or use information include:

Government agency requirements, usually in the form of de identified, aggregated, statistical information.
Improve organisational effectiveness using de identified information collected through, for example, staff exit interviews.
Wherever possible, GPNNT will not disclose personal or sensitive information on an individual basis. We do not disclose personal information for direct marketing purposes.

GPNNT will take all reasonable efforts to secure the protection of personal information. Our staff respects the confidentiality of personal information and the privacy of individuals and will only access information to perform their duties.

Identifiers

GPNNT will not use identifiers such as tax file numbers, Medicare numbers or provider numbers in our information storage methods.
